September 14, 2020 - TRA Newswire -
The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking public opinion on high-speed transportation connections and where they should operate in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
High-speed service between Dallas and Fort Worth would potentially connect to a separate high-speed rail service between Dallas and Houston as well as from Fort Worth to South Texas metro areas. The study area includes Dallas and Tarrant counties as well as high-speed transportation service in the cities of Dallas, Irving, Cockrell Hill, Grand Prairie, Arlington, Pantego, Dalworthington Gardens, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Richland Hills, North Richland Hills, Haltom City, and Fort Worth.
NCTCOG staff will provide an overview of the Dallas to Fort Worth High-Speed Transportation Connections study and the types of technology and alignments being considered for the initiative during virtual public meetings on Wednesday, September 23 at noon and Thursday, September 24 at 6 pm.
Information will be posted online at www.nctcog.org/dfw-hstcs for public review and comment September 18 - October 16, 2020. To request printed copies of the information, call 817-695-9240 or email DFW_HST@nctcog.org.
