Alexandra (Alex) Curtis-McVay has been appointed to the position of District Station Manager II and in her new capacity will assume all responsibilities of stations within the Southwest Subdivision. Her duties will include supervision of Texas Amtrak stations and Southwest states.
Alexandra (Alex) Curtis-McVay began her Amtrak career in 2010 as a Train/Service Attendant in Onboard Services. She was later promoted to Customer Service Quality Supervisor on the Texas Eagle Long-Distance Business line. Alex also served as Acting Station Manager in Chicago Union Station and as an interim Train Manager for the Texas Eagle.
In 2015, Curtis-McVay was promoted to Senior Facilitator for Customer Service, delivering customer focused workshops to employees and managers alike throughout the Amtrak system. She is a recipient of the Amtrak President’s Service and Safety Award for Valor and remains on track to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration next spring.
She will be headquartered in Dallas.
